What is new in GA4?

GA4 has a very different data structure and data gathering mechanism than GA3. Everything now revolves around users and events rather than traditional sessions. The following are the new major functionalities:

GA4 is the most recent version of Google Analytics. This new version includes additional features that improve usability and provide us with new methods to evaluate and interpret data.

After the first version of Google Analytics, released in November 2005, the analytic software Urchin was purchased in 2007, when Google released ga.js, a variation of the traditional GA code. Later, a beta version of GA4 was launched in July 2019. This version combines the most delicate features of Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Analytics Universal Analytics.

The new interface, features and redistribution of Google Analytics 4 provide a new world of possibilities for reading data and are, therefore, significant assets to Performance Marketing campaign optimisations.

How We Work With GA4

Our team of Marketing Analytics specialists can assist you in achieving your company objectives by implementing a solid tracking approach that prioritises attention to detail. Cheetah Conversions will ensure you don't miss out on crucial user interactions within your website or landing pages that will help you meet your company's short and long-term goals.

As Google Analytics 4 is still in development, our Cheetah Conversions team uses both platforms to receive conventional data readings from Google Analytics while also using the newest capabilities of Google Analytics 4.

Analytics services are indeed a complicated subject that experts should handle. We'll walk you through your users' customer journey and show how they engage with your websites. With this information, you'll be able to determine which marketing channels are the most advantageous to spend in, which creatives generate the most interaction and how to allocate your budget most effectively. We work hard to maximise the results of your marketing initiatives.

Measurement Improvements

With the GA4, it has become easy to automatically track various additional interactions. Scrolling, outbound link clicks, site search, video engagement (for YouTube videos) and file downloads are just a few examples.

All your reports are reorganised according to the business life cycle, user and events. Though these areas still have some drill-down choices, this new version encourages you to personalise the reports and do things your way.

New Funnel Reports

A funnel can include up to 10 stages, each containing various dimensions, metrics or events. Funnels are applied to data once collected, and they can be either open or closed.
And to make things even better, you now have the choice between the classic standard funnel visualisation and the new trended funnel visualisation, which allows for improved data visualisation over time.

BigQuery Integration

You can now simply convert events -- or any other objects you build - into goals. Not only is it easier to establish goals this way than it is in Universal Analytics, but you may also have up to 30 goals instead of the usual 20 in Universal Analytics.

Google Analytics 4 has free integration with Google BigQuery, the company's sophisticated database solution on the Cloud Platform. If you are a Google Analytics user who receives a lot of traffic, this provides a sophisticated analysis of large, unsampled data sets. BigQuery can also export data to visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
